Happy Vacation!
FYI- I sent the email below earlier today (Tuesday, 3/17) to all students- wanted to copy it here for parents to be able access as well.  Please make sure you kids are checking their email regularly- Mrs. Arbour and I are both checking in with all kids on a regular basis.
Hey kids!
Hope you are all surviving day 2- first we hear Brady is leaving the Pats and then it rains all day?  Rough day!  I love hearing from you guys, so if you are reading a good book, or have learned something new and interesting- please share! You can send us a video telling us what you are up to, write us an email...get creative- we've got lots of time!
I wanted to pass along some resources from other teachers/staff in the school for you guys to access while you are home.
  1. Mr. Giampetruzzi has created a google classroom where he is uploading enrichment activities for any students who are interested.
The google classroom code is: fyq4frr
  2. Mrs. Hanson has created a home learning plan for those of you that like/need to have your day more structured.  You will have to make a copy of that google doc in order to edit it, or if you have a printer at home you can just print it off.
  3. The school counseling department has a resource page where you can find: a self-care challenge, some resources for managing stress/anxiety, and also how to contact them (Mrs. Royal, Mrs. Lynch, Mrs. Hanson, and Mrs, Sturgeon)
  4. Spanish Remote Lessons: All students should check their email daily and Google Classroom. Other options → Dana website  Email Sra. Dana if you have any questions, concerns, or comments.
  5. Allied Arts- here is the resource page for all of the Allied Arts classes- each teacher talks about how they will contact you and what they want you to work on during this time.
Hope to hear from you all soon!
Ms. Newton

Information re: resources for kids during school closure

Hello families!
We hope that everyone is doing their best to stay calm and healthy during this stressful time. We plan on updating the blog (Today in Arbour and Today in Newton) on a regular/weekly basis with resources for the kids. We do also hope to have some communication with the kids, so please ask them to check their school email at least once a week (remind them that they use the same username and password to login to gmail as they do to log into their school google docs account.) This is all new uncharted territory for us all, so please excuse any bumps we may hit along the way. We will also change/update our plans for the kids if the school closure is extended for a longer period of time. As for right now, our first priority is making sure that all our kids feel supported and understand that even though we may not be in school together right now, we will still be here to help and support as best we can.

-Ms Newton and Mrs Arbour
