Today we worked on locating points on a coordinate graph using the ordered pairs. We practiced on pages 525-526. Most students were able to hand in their "homework" before leaving class today. The grades are already in Powerschool, if you need to know if your child needs to complete this tonight.
ALSO- many students did not hand in their work from the end of last week (pages 497-498, and pages 517-518). We have very limited time left to complete work (ALL WORK DUE BY 6/14). Completing work on-time and working at home to make up and missing/redo work is critical. Homework: page 529-530 (if not already scored in powerschool)

We talked about writing numerical expressions today (pages 493-494). Many students were able to complete the homework in class.
Homework: page 497-498 Today we worked with the order of operations. We practiced doing one operation at a time so that we were sure the order was correct.
Homework tonight: page 491-492 Today we created the food web of the African Savanna from the Wild Kratts video (Monday). Students then worked on creating a food web of Monterrey Bay using organism cards (info on food and predators). We will finish these tomorrow.
We watched the Wild Kratts episode on the "Food Chain Game" to learn about the multiple paths energy can take from producers to top consumers. We ran out of time today, but will chart this in our notebooks tomorrow.
