Today we started our final adventure in science. Students watched a Bill Nye video on buoyancy and then got their clay to make boats for our boat float competition. Students each got one stick of clay that they will need to craft into a boat that will float the most number of pennies. Students will had class time today (2 periods) and one more class period tomorrow to construct their boats. When we return from Kettle Cove on Wednesday, students will compete in their homerooms. The top two boats for each homeroom will compete in the 5th Grade Boat Float on Friday morning.
