Today we reviewed writing division number stories with a specific answer. Students enjoy being creative, but we have talked about making sure that the math still works. The class has loved sharing their number stories. The instructional part of class worked more with interpreting the remainder. Building upon our work in the last unit, students now needed to decide if the remainder could be reported as a fraction. The Arbours had enough time at the end of the period to play a tic-tac-toe game related to interpreting what to do with the remainder in the division number stories. HOMEWORK TONIGHT: HOME LINK 3-3
