We have continued our work with finding common denominators and being able to make equivalent fractions so that they can be added or subtracted. We have had a lot of fun using siblings as a way to talk about how to convert equivalent fractions: if one sibling (the denominator) gets something, the other sibling (the numerator) wants the same thing. We completed pages 156 and 157 in our new math journals and then most students worked on and completed Home Link 5-2 in class.
