Today we reviewed the addition work that students did yesterday and discussed how to make number models using letters to represent unknown numbers. This extends the work that we started in the last two units. We then spent most of class working on subtracting decimals. We specifically looked at the importance of putting place-holder zeros into the decimal places to make sure that we don't accidentally forget to subtract when numbers don't have the same number of digits.
Lastly today we worked on reviewing how to explain the worth of a digit in a given place by using words or fractions. HOMEWORK TONIGHT: HOME LINK 4-14 UNIT 4 TEST ON TUESDAY 3/5
