We continued to work on our argument paragraph drafts today. I provided each student with a graphic organizer that we began filling out today- emphasizing the difference between reasons and evidence. See the organizer below.

Today I explained that in order to be able to get everything in in SS and LA in the next couple of months- we are going to need to shuffle things around a bit. As a result, book clubs are now meeting on Mondays, Tuesdays, and certain WIN class periods. This frees up 3 days a week in LA where we can be working on our SS argument essay after break, which means in SS we can continue on in the textbook and begin our Revolutionary War unit. I want to make sure that the kids are prepared before we go on our Boston field trip, but also don't want to sacrifice any of our writing lessons or book clubs. Hopefully this will work for us :)
