I started class today by providing the students with the product descriptor and rubric for the information writing piece they will be doing on Colonial New England. As we went over the rubric I pointed out what students need to do in order to get a 3 (meeting 5th grade standards) and what they need to do in order to push themselves in their writing and go above and beyond to get a score of a 4. We will be working on these in class only and students are expected to be finished with this by Friday.
